Trick or treat

I know that I have blogged about Halloween before, but I really do love this time of year. Maybe it is the candy (it seems to be everywhere!) or maybe it is the season (I love fall - the colors of the leaves even though they only stay in the tree for about 10 minutes and then spend the next three weeks dropping on your lawn as soon as you have picked everything up) but most of all I think it is the excitement of getting to 'be' someone or something else.
I know that I often pretend to be something other then I really am - extra confident about things even though I am shaking in my boots. Or pretending to not let things bother me even though I am 'steaming' under my skin, or being out going when all I really want to do is curl up and read a book.
But when you are young it is more then just pretending. You actually become that person - if only for a short time period. And that is just wicked cool!
