This is a question that you ask early on in the week at work. Partially to be nice and partially if you had something cool happen to you so that you then get a chance to tell your story when people do the nice things and ask you back about what you did.
Well this weekend I ended up doing what I have not had to do much in my life ever. I was in the emergency room. And the downer part was that there wasn't even anything major wrong. Late Friday afternoon I started having chest pains that then decided to go wandering and ended up traveling down my arm. The fact that it was all on my left side was especially troublesome. So I ended up freaking out and heading into the emergency room.
I got a new appreciation for efficient and effective care. I happen to live in a place (Rochester, MN) that has a great medical institution Mayo Clinic in it. While I have a great appreciation for Mayo and all of the other hospitals that are connected with it. Thankfully I haven't ever really had to use the services there.
But I will say this, if you have to get sick and if you have to use the emergency room - St. Mary's rules. Everyone was friendly and nice while I was freaking out thinking I was going to die or have something like Alien pop out of my chest.
So thanks to everyone at St. Mary's. You guys are awesome!
