Sweet interface and use of space - vitals.com

There are a ton of 'Rank my doctor' type sites out there, but I really like the interface to this one - vitals.com.

The homepage is real clean and neat and it is easy for me to figure out where to go from here:

I decided to look up a doctor. I found one that happens to be one of the Cardiologists in the country. The basic information was presented in a real clean and easy to understand interface:

I decided to click on the certification link and through and AJAX pop-out window I was presented with more information then I would care to know about:

Then I selected the view details about education. And this is where the site rocked. The entire interface changed so that the school information was presented to me without losing any of my navigation on the left. And it was very easy to find out how to get back to the presentation that I had before. This is a very sweet use of screen real estate to present information in an easy to read format without losing the user or cluttering up the screen.

I agree. This site has a very clean look and feel. Vitals will vitalize the doctor ranking arena as Google did with the search engines.

I was especially impressed with the Check up On Doctor tool. I was easily able to find all the doctors my family uses. Great post.
