It only seems like a duh thought - that you have a moron who has a name and then people don't want to name their children the same in case their children are seen in the light of that person.
It just goes to show how tough it is to be a parent. Even naming your child takes a great bit of science. You don't want to name you child something too popular or there will be tons of kids their age with the same name, you also don't want to name them after anyone that you know of that is a goober (be that the kid who ate glue in elementary class or some crack-head celebrity).
So even the simplest things get complicated. So give any parents that you know an extra break. They have it far rougher then you would ever imagine.
