This book leaves me with only one thing to say: WOW!
It is the type of story that you get sucked in so fast that it seems the only way to breathe is to have your head in between the covers reading the story. The descriptions, the feel of this tale, it surrounds you, it captivates you, and at some points seems to almost consume you. Needless to say, it is a powerful read.
The story left me with a lot to think about as well:
- We all have a story to tell.
- In some way, I think we are all a little bit shattered or broken inside.
- If Diane Setterfield writes another book - I am going to be all over it.
