This is a sad day indeed. Regardless if you believed the premises of his books, the concepts and the questions that he built his stories around were facinating. Books like Congo, Jarrasic Park, and my favorite of his: Timeline, were all based around this really cool idea and then built out into a story that rivited you.There were a couple of clunker stories that read more like movie scripts or that just had action thrown in for no apparent reason and I wished that he would have just focused on his premise more. But it is still a sad day to lose someone like this.
