Book Review - Moving to higher ground

This is a book that anyone who loves music should read. Even if you don't, Wynton Marsalis takes you through jazz and talks about how you can use elements to better your life. This is done by breaking down the basic elements of jazz, the instraments that are used, and even the various styles. Reading this book is almost like hearing a concert preformed in your head as Wynton can turn a phrase in a similar manner as improving notes on his trumpet. A smooth and moving read.

Find your sound
Learn to swing, espcially with those around you
Learning the art of call and respond
Don't be afraid to make stuff up and go for it
