This is a story that should be required reading.
After reading it, you will look at the various interactions that you have with the people around you differently. And maybe, just maybe you will reach out a little more, engage a little more, listen harder, pay attention.
The other thing that this does is make you aware of the little stories that you hear about but do nothing with. About how painful these are for people especially when they are not true but are treated as such and no one bothers to ever find out if it really is that way.
Reading this book also really made me think about one of the great causes: To Write Love on Her Arms. Check it out. It is well worth your time.
Life is meant to be shared.
But it is easy to try and go it alone.
Don't.
Reach out, and hopefully there will be someone there to touch.
Someone who won't judge you.
Won't reject you.
But will be there.
And I hope that I will be there for those around me.
That I don't look away.
That I pay attention.
That I am able to show how much I really do care.
That I ask how you are.
That I listen to the answer.
To engage.
And maybe in all of this we will have a better life.
Because it is done together.
So the conclusion is - READ THIS BOOK - then do something about what you have read.
