This is the type of movie that after watching it, you sit still for awhile and just think. You think about your life, about your family, about what you do in life and what is it really.
This is a powerful story that takes place during World War II and the son of a concentration camp 'head'. He is still a young boy, adventuresome and wide eyed. The father is just doing his duty all the while around him the world is falling apart. Both literally in the war and right around him in his family.
This is an amazing movie that get you right into the boy's head and what he is seeing and feeling and not really understanding about what is going on around him.
But what came out of this movie for me the most was a real evaluation of what it is that I do. Am I just doing my duty, or what others think I should and am I ignoring the plight of those around me?
You really should watch this movie and if you are not moved you should check your heart to make sure it is still working.
