Book review: Matched

The story starts with the setting that 'Society' has evolved and now everything is managed and controlled. People have become basically drones that have their lives directed for them by 'Society'. Your job, where you live, your schedule, your diet, how long you live, who you marry or even if you are allowed to marry is controlled.

The main character is a girl named Cassia who goes to her 'Matching' ceremony to learn who she will marry and afterwards there is a glitch and she sees 2 faces - both people whom she knows. There becomes the tension as she attempts to live within the constraints of Society and yet also figure out who she is.

This quick read has some great tension points and makes you think about the tension between safety and freedom, and how much you are willing to go on one side or the other. Or can you even have one with the other?

Highly recommend for a lazy afternoon read.
