It seems sometimes that Blogger tends to lag behind WordPress a little bit in being able to do different things to customize your blog. However when they introduced the Template editor and the easy ways to upload your own backgrounds and tweak your layouts, it really improved Blogger as the easy to use, but really powerful blogging solution. Now with the release of the new layouts on Blogger, this has moved to even greater hights. I love the different ways that you are able to display your content and allow your readers the ability to 'play' with the layout as well. You can read more about the new layouts here.

There aren't any abilities to tweak the default settings on the new layout, but as they have just been released, I am sure that more updates will be following.
