A friend had said this was a good movie, but I have to admit that I was less then enthusiastic about seeing this. I mean it was either going to be a kids movie or a cheesey 'chick flick'. There didn't seem to be much more princess that could be squeezed out by Disney or else this movie was going to just seem like a lot of rehash.
BUT.......
I loved it.
While there is a lot of earlier princess movie elements thrown in, the whole concept of coming from a cartoon to real life and what that transition would be like was brilliant. The characters were funny. And the story had some big themes about relationships that really made me think. Also the slight twist at the end was also really good.
If you haven't already seen it. Rent it, buy it, just watch it!
