School is out for the summer. I remember when that had more meaning to me. It meant that I could go to the library and get extra piles of Hardy boy books and read until the late hours of the night.

I know, I was kind of a geek even then.

I also remember this strange feeling of wanting to get out of school and not have any homework, but also knowing that I wouldn't be able to hang out with friends 5 days out of the week.

Such a strange time.
Now though the seasons change, and besides if I wear a coat or not or get to grill on the deck, not much changes. Or at least it doesn't seem like as much changes as it did then. Maybe we could start a petition to get work off for the summer or something......
