I have discovered my new favorite TV show. It used to be House MD on Fox, but since that is on reruns during the summer I needed something else. One night while trying to find something to do I was flipping through the channels and came across Ninja Warrior on G4. This show is awesome!
There is the wise-cracking announcer - which is in Japanese so you have to read sub-titles. Which adds to the appeal of the show because I can make myself feel more literate and artsy. Ok, it is a little bit of a stretch, but still....
And there is the show itself. It is basically an obstacle course that is set up that people have to try and get through in a certain time frame. It is set up into 4 sections and they are just crazy. The other thing about this show is that no one has to win. People try to through these mazes and giant hammers and such but there is no requirement that you have to have a winner at the end.
In fact most people never make it past the first stage.
