Thoughts from a movie: Harry Potter

We went to see Harry Potter this weekend - I know it has been out for like ever, but life just tends to get busy sometimes....

What stood out for me the most from that movie (great overall film by the way, highly recommend it!) was the quote by Sirrus to Harry in which he said, "It is not like we are all good, or all death-eaters, there is a little bit of both in each of us, what matters is how you respond to it" Now that might not be a direct quote (my memory is a leaky thing like swiss cheese) but the essence is that we are all a little light and a little dark.

Now this is not world changing stuff, the whole yin and yang thing has been around for just about eternity, but it rang true to me that each of us have the capability to do great good and great evil. And it is a fine line between them sometimes. Also we don't always listen to the same voice all the time.

Here is to paying more attention to the 'good voice'.
