Carry-on stuff

I don't go on a lot of plane rides, so I maybe should complain, but what is it with people bringing so much crap with them on the plane? I can understand a laptop or maybe a book or something or some toys if you are traveling with a small child - but the size and number of items that people bring on the plane with them is insane.


First they clog up the aisles forever trying to jam whatever mammoth bag they brought with into a space that was never meant to hold that much stuff. I mean if you have valuables in there - forget it - they are smashed.

Then the part that really is annoying is after you have landed. Now granted I might have a little bit of a personal space issue - I like having room to move my elbows thank you very much. But these people then slow the rest of the people on the plane (like me) who just want to get out of this metal straw and cramped seat by slowing everyone down trying to get their various bags that have been placed all over the aircraft in various overhead bins.

If you are that worried about the airline losing your bags carry a pair of underwear in your pocket and call it good.
