Book review: Fearless

This is a topic on which there are a lot of books about. That is pushing the boundaries, getting over yourself, living life to the fullest. And while there are so many voices talking about this topic (and I have even listened and read to quite a few) it still is something that I struggle with.

When the opportunity presented itself to read an early copy of Max Lucado’s new book ‘Fearless’, I jumped at the chance. The reason is if there was a voice to join the fray of noise on this topic – his was one that I was interested in listening to.

In walking through our greatest fears, the fear of not mattering, the fear of making God angry, and many others are examined with stories, scriptures and new ways of look at things. You quickly realize why Max is such a great author – he makes God real. He makes the scripture come to life. He gives God feeling. And in that you realize, you do matter, God really does love you, your life is worth it and God wants to spend time with you, to calm you, to calm your soul.

There is so much to unpack from each and every chapter that the only way to really grasp what this book is, and what it has, and how you can apply it’s many ideas and thoughts into your life is to pick up a copy and get started becoming more Fearless.
