I think I have found the worst type of person to work with - the waffle. These are people who have a spine of a jellyfish and can't make up their mind because they are changing it so often.
What makes it worse is when a person like this is in a position of authority. That is because they should be making decisions and helping to get things done, however they spend so much time flopping around like a fish in the bottom of a boat that everything stalls.
It also seems that people like this have no problem making other people pay the price for their inability to make up their mind and stick with it. The tire tracks from the bus that they keep getting thrown under are all over people who have to work with someone like this.
There is no issue with asking others for their opinions and gaining consensus on something. But if you are someone who gets paralyzed at the thought of making a decision and then standing by it - I just want you to know that you might be one of the greatest causes to health issues in this country next to smoking and eating at McDonald's every day. The stress and high blood pressure that you cause the rest of us is off the charts.
So if you fit this mold of being a waffler, give it a shot - grow a spine, make a decision, and stand by it sometime. I know that it might be scary, some people might not like it, but just give it a try
