Amazing meat rub

I was able to get some grilling done this week. Kind of a 4th of July thing, but while experimenting a little bit and trying new stuff, came across an amazing beef rub. It is a recipe from Mike McGrath.

The rub is:
4 Teaspoons coarse kosher salt
1 Tablespoon coarsely ground black pepper
1 Teaspoon dried oregano
1 Teaspoon dried thyme
1 Teaspoon paprika
1 Teaspoon minced garlic

The mix can all be put together a head of time and just add the garlic right before you rub it into the meat.

Then on the steaks you lightly coat with vegetable or olive oil and then apply the rub.
Let sit for 20 minutes
Grill over a hot direct heat (8 - 10 minutes or until desired doneness)

Then get ready to enjoy amazing steaks. I tried this on thick cut ribeyes and it was one of the easiest grilling experiments.

Enjoy!
